Little miss muffin! Cake making fun...

Today we grabbed our aprons and did what we love doing best.. Getting messy! I'm no annabel karmel but I can make a decent sponge cake so thought I'd give it a go and get my little baker to help! Pearl was very excited when she saw all the ingredients but her favourite thing to play with was the cake cases, which kept her amused for ages!
We decided to make cupcakes( I had my bowl while my mini master chef had her own!)
I used a basic sponge cake recipe which did use eggs (hence pearls separate mixing bowl) always best incase she inevitably has a sneaky try!
We both mixed out ingredients and once we were done making a mess we popped our mix into our cake cases.
Of course before we put them in the oven pearl tried a cake case out on her head for size!
She's such a sweetie!
Here are the finished cakes lovingly decorated and beautiful!
A lovely day with my beautiful girl!
(Please note baking should always be done under adult supervision to ensure it is safe)
Hope you liked the post!

The 'baa baa, moo moo' day at the farm!

We recently visited our local farm as pearl is sooo excited everytime she sees an animal at the moment. She's a pro at animal noises, she's a little miss Doolittle!
It was so lovely to see her so amazed as she looked around at all the animals, as she mimicked each noise they made! Her favourite by far was the huge cow!
He absolutely towered over her but she didn't mind! She stood chatting to him for ages, I'm not quite sure what she was saying but he seemed interested!
We saw lots of other animals all of which we stopped and had a chat with! As well as having a play in the hay!
We finished the day with a mini tractor ride around the farm which was the perfect ending to a perfect trip!
What's your little ones fave animal?
Hope you enjoyed reading this! And thankyou for looking!

Upcycled flower power, toddler crafts!

Its always astonishing as a parent that your toddler enjoys playing with the packaging of that amazing new toy you bought them, rather than the toy itself! And pearl is no exception! Give her a yogurt pot or a cereal box and she will entertain herself for hours!
This got me thinking that I should embrace pearls curiosity of all things recycled and make something crafty that she can help join in with to make something beautiful!
Her favourite new word is flowers, she loves pointing at them and waving hello to each flower we pass.. Very cute! So in a creative moment I decided to make a flower pot with things I already had around the house,
If you would like a go, here's what you will need:
A large used yogurt pot
Coloured paper
Ribbon
Glue
Straws
Cake cases
Glitter glue
Sellotape
Step one:
Cover the yogurt pot with coloured paper using a little non toxic glue
Step 2:
Add some crumpled up paper into the yogurt pot for soil(this will help the flowers stay in place too.
Step 3:
Now you will need to assemble the flowers, all you need to do is grab a cake case and straw of any colour, then fasten at the back with a little Sellotape. Once you have done this use a little glitter glue (get your toddler to help, messy but fun!), to make the center!
Step 4:
Now all you need to do is place your flowers in their pot however you like! I added a little ribbon too just to finish it off. Now all you need is a small watering can for abit of pretend play!
I hope you enjoyed this post, if you have a go with your little ones I would love to see the pics!
Have fun!

The magic of the park...

It's amazing to think that something as normal as going to the park can be such a huge adventure for little explorers! I often take pearl to the park as we are very lucky to have one close to our house. Every time we go to the park pearl finds something new to explore. Its incredible to see the sheer wonder on her face as a butterfly flutters it's colourful wings in front of her eyes, or to see her eyes light up as the ducks 'quack quack' at her feet and she quacks back! The slides are like roller coasters and the swings are like flying in your own mini plane! It's the simple but priceless moments like these that capture the precious moments of parenthood. I hope you enjoy the pics! What's your favourite place to go to as a family?

First dolls pram!! Very cute!

Little pearl has been very interested lately in pushing her pushchair as we walk along together! So I thought that this would be the perfect time to purchase her first dolls pram(something I have looked forward to for a very long time!)
I looked on every website you could imagine searching for the perfect pram as she's still only dinky so I didn't want anything too big!
I finally found a pushchair with great reviews, it's a mamas and papas mini dolls pram, it's a gorgeous white and black polka dot pram with a big red flower on the hood, the pram says for up to 3 years however it really is very small but perfect for a little toddler!
I couldn't wait for it to arrive (I ordered it from argos) it was £19.99. When it arrived me and pearl opened the box together and it was do easy to put together even I could do it without asking for help! It folds down easily too so dosent take up much room!
That day we spent the afternoon strolling the park with her brand new pram and of course bambam(her fave teddy) was privileged enough to be chosen for the front seat!
Overall a great product would highly recommend pearl loves it and it's so easy to push she gets hours of fun out of it too!

Zipadeezip sleep bag review

For my first post I felt it only right to review the best product I ever bought pearl as a baby! As a baby pearl had a lactose intolerance therefore it made it very difficult for her to be comfortable at night to get a good nights rest!
After weeks, even months of searching for the perfect sleep aid to help give us all a good nights rest I came across what would become our saviour!
It is called a zipadeezip and is utterly amazing! They look like little starfish suits and come in a variety of colours and sizes perfect for both babies and toddlers!
The zipadeezip is a lightweight stretchable material which still gives a slightly snug feel, but not as restricting as a swaddle or woombie! It is an all in one with feet and hands enclosed too!
The first night we tried pearl with her zipadeezip (we bought a pink one with lollipops on it, very cute!) she was a little unsure, however for the first time in a long time... We all slept! Now obviously as a mum who likes to be completely honest of course she didn't sleep all night but she slept for over 6 hours which is more than she ever had before!
Gradually day by day the zipadeezip became like a comfort blanket and within a week she was sleeping soundly! And to this day she still occasionally wears it when she needs a little extra comfort!
This is a truly beautiful sleep aid that I can honestly say really worked for little pearl, and anythings worth a try for a good nights sleep!
You can buy summer and winter fleece zipadeezips and although there is only one place in the uk that sells them:
http://www.mybabysolutions.co.uk/
I ordered mine from the American sight which was very fast delivery and took less than a week to arrive.
The link below will send you directly to their American site:
https://zipadeezip.com/our-story/
I would order one size larger than you think your little one will need as this will give them a little extra room.
I will add pics as soon as poss(please be patient I am still very new to the blogging world)
I really hope you found this post useful, if you have any questions or comments I will be very pleased to hear from you.
Thank you for reading
